Rainbow Connection Gala, Children’s Museum of Houston, TX

October 23-24, 1993 - “The Rainbow Connection” themed event on October 23 featured a video tribute to Jim Henson and walkaround characters, Kermit and Miss Piggy. Jane Henson attended with Arthur Novell. Houston mayor, Bob Lanier, declared October 24, 1993, Jim Henson Day. The Children’s Museum of Houston hosted Jane Henson’s presentation of The Early Years of the Muppets followed by a screening of The Muppet Movie.
