A Jim Henson Birthday Celebration: Jimmy Dean & Rowlf’s 60th Anniversary at Museum of the Moving Image

On Jim Henson’s birthday weekend, Legacy President Craig Shemin hosted a compilation program focused on Rowlf and his national debut on The Jimmy Dean Show in 1963. Along with clips from the show which ran three seasons, the audience enjoyed some rare commercials featuring the singer and his “hound dog buddy” Rowlf. Special guest Oklahoma City actor/musician/TV personality Lucas Ross played Muppet songs on his banjo before and after the screening program, leading a sing-along of “The Rainbow Connection.”
