The Jim Henson Retro-Spectacle In Wellington, New Zealand
From April 9 – 29, 2018, The Square Eyes Foundation led by Nicola Marshall and The Jim Henson Legacy organized three weeks of programs in Wellington, New Zealand celebrating Jim Henson. A series of screenings and behind the scenes workshops were presented by Jim’s colleagues and friends. Guests included Bonnie Erickson, Dave Goelz, Peter Linz, Carmen Osbahr, Karen Prell, Matt Vogel, Eric Jacobson, Arthur Novell, and Craig Shemin. The Jim Henson Life and Legacy poster exhibit was featured on the plaza at the Te Papa National Museum. These well-attended events led up to two gala live concert extravaganzas at the Michael Fowler Centre starring Bret McKenzie, the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, and a host of Henson characters and performers.
